Sandstone is a small town located in the Mid West region of Western Australia. Although not particularly known for its tourist attractions, there are still plenty of interesting places to visit in and around the region. Here are some of the best tourist attractions in Sandstone and its surrounding areas:

1. Sandstone Heritage Trail - Take a leisurely stroll through the town’s historic areas, this trail takes you to several areas that have historical significance to the town's mining past.

2. Sandstone War Memorial - A beautiful tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives fighting in the war. This landmark is situated in the town’s center and is a great spot to learn about the town's history.

3. Mount Magnet - A nearby town 40 km north of Sandstone and a great spot to watch the stars at night.

4. Yalgoo - The town is located about 200 km north of Sandstone and is known for its historical buildings and stunning landscape.

5. Lake Mason - A popular spot for fishing and camping, this lake offers a great opportunity for visitors to participate in outdoor activities.

6. Exploration Museum - The museum contains a sizable collection of historic mining equipment, this museum provides a lot of information about the mining history of the region.

7. New Norcia Monastery - Established in 1847, the New Norcia Monastery is home to the Benedictine community and is the only monastic town in Australia. It is located about 250 km South of Sandstone.

8. Galena Bridge - A popular spot for photographers, Galena Bridge offers a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. Located 20 km east of Sandstone.

9. Lake Moore - Another popular fishing and camping spot, Lake Moore is located only 40 km south of Sandstone.

10. Mount Augustus - At 713 meters, Mount Augustus is the largest rock in the world and is located about 460 km North of Sandstone.
